Protecting God's Children
Community:
Holy Redeemer Parish
Full compliance in the Protecting God’s Children program is mandated by the National Council of Catholic bishops for all employees and volunteers who work with children in any way at Holy Redeemer Church. If you have contact with children through school, scouts, sporting activities, etc. you must have the following:
1. Attendance at a Protecting God’s Children Workshop - These are presented at many parishes throughout the Archdiocese several times each month. Visit the website: http://www.archstl.org and click on the link. You will find dates, times and locations. Please make sure you register for Holy Redeemer Church.
2. The Background Check – Please submit a signed application and a copy of your social security card. The Parish covers the $10.00 fee when you submit your application. Applications are available at the Rectory. Contact Pat at 314-962-0038. If you do not have a copy of your card, we suggest that you visit a Social Security Office. Check for hours of operation and locations. You may also register online at http://www.dhss.mo.gov/FCSR/. An $11.00 fee will be charged to your credit card. Upon completion of your registration, please print a receipt for yourself and the Rectory office. The receipt is required to confirm your registration and background check. If you have previously applied for a background check, your Social Security number and date of birth are required for us to access your information. We are required to update your background check every two years. There is no need for you to re-register once you are in the Family Care Registry,
3. The Code of Ethics – You must sign a Code of Ethical Conduct in order to be in full compliance. These forms are also available in the Rectory office.
If you have questions, please contact Pat at the Rectory, 314-962-0038 or by emailing pat@holyr.org. I will be happy to assist you in any way.
