PSR UPDATES
PSR is off to a great start. There are nearly 160 children enrolled in the school. The students are blessed with wonderful teachers: grade 1-Mrs. Dianne Abbott,
grade 2-Mrs. Meg Nash and Mrs. Tammy Hoyt, grade 3-Mrs. Denise Dorsey, grade 4-Mrs. Sue Johnson, grade 5-Mr.Paul Fiess, grade 6-Mrs. Diana Dahl,
grade 7-Mr. Steve Symsack and grade 8-Mrs. Kathy Groesch and Mrs. Valerie Murray.
Steve Symsack made milagros for each room. The students are encouraged to attach prayers to ribbons that will be added to the prayer boards every week. Each class will display its milagro at the end of its pew at the monthly PSR Mass. Steve did a great job and his efforts are very appreciated. Thanks, Steve.
The next PSR Mass is at 11:00 AM on October 12th. Everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy donuts after the Mass. Class will meet from 10:00-10:50 AM and then go directly to Mass. Please join us in prayer. At the close of Mass, students will remain in their respective pews with their teachers supervising their dismissal.
On October 26th, students will have Halloween parties in their rooms during class time. The children should NOT wear costumes. They will have a small treat and teachers might arrange special activities.
Some classes are still in need of a roomparent-chairperson. This involves finding parents who are willing to hlep with donuts on October 12th, party snacks on October 26th, and party snacks on December 21st. This person may arrange a phone chain or find someone to arrange the phone chain in case of bad weather. (Let's hope there will be no need, but we should be prepared.)
Melora Pruneau is hard at work on the PSR buzzbook. When she completes this gigantic task, a combination PSR Handbook/buzzbook will be sent home with the oldest or only child in the school. A class list will be included in the book.
